My dearest bug is almost 7 months old... this is going by too quickly sometimes.
We didn't end up going anywhere for Christmas. Instead we invited over 5 single soldiers and cooked duck, twice baked potatoes, green bean casserole, and snickerdoodles along with some spiked egg nog. It was nice to share it with others and feed the guys, but it just didn't feel like Christmas. It hit me (and my mom) pretty hard when it was my first Christmas, in 22 years of life, that I wasn't home.
Us being dull and all, we slept through the new year and spent the day taking down the tree and spilling the beans on our pasts about things we have never told anyone -- let's just say there was a lot of embarrassment and laughter the entire day.
We almost made a spur of the moment trip to Rome to ring in the new year but it wasn't planned, it was freezing, and not very costly. Little Wyatt keeps us with our grown up pants on, and that's definitely not a bad thing. ;)
Let's see - in other news - I have been crocheting, knitting, and crafting like a freak. I started a little business page as an excuse to let me be crafty and buy things without feeling guilty.

Until next time... CAIO!
